Our group is focusing on statistical method development in the bioinformatics, computational biology and health informatics fields. We particularly are interested in revealing the relation between datasets via data integration strategy, to understand the biological mechanisms related to diseases, e.g., autoimmune diseases, cancer, oral biology, to further facilitate drug repurposing/discovery. We are keen to apply our developed methods and the cutting edges methods to real datasets. The data types we are looking at include DNA/RNAseq data, microbiome sequencing data, single cell RNAseq data and electronical medical record data.
